"A-G" courses?

What are A-G approved courses?

A-G courses are courses that high schools submit to UC for designation as approved college prep classses.  They are put in to categories (A=social science, B=English, C=Math, D=Lab Science, E=Language other than English, F=Visual/Performing arts, G=College prep electives).  To be considered for admission, you must complete 15 yearlong high school courses with a grade of C or better — at least 11 of them prior to your senior year.
