"A-G" courses?       

What are A-G approved courses?

A-G courses are courses that high schools submit to UC for designation as approved college prep classses. 

  • A=social science,
  • B=English,
  • C=Math,
  • D=Lab Science,
  • E=Language other than English,
  • F=Visual/Performing arts,
  • G=College prep electives). 
  • To be considered for UC admission, you must complete 15 yearlong high school courses with a grade of C or better — at least 11 of them prior to your senior year.
