PW PRESENTS “LOST IN YONKERS”: ‘Lost in Yonkers’ to be presented in the Little Theatre on February 4, 5 & 6 and February 11, 12 and 13. Tickets are now on sale in the Treasurer’s office and in the Forum at lunch. Advance Thursday tickets are 2 for $10.00. Advance tickets $6.00. Door tickets $8.00.
CAMP COUNSELORS: Highlands Elementary is looking for motivated and funloving students to become camp counselors for the 5th grade camp experience at Camp Alliance Redwoods. The camp dates are March 9-12. Applications are available in the office at Northgate and on-line at highlandswebsite.com. Please print out the
applications double sided if possible. The applications are due Friday, February 12th, and interviews will be sometime in mid-February (dates to be announced). PRACTICE ACT OR SAT: Juniors are invited to take a practice SAT or ACT at Las Lomas High School on Saturday, February 20th. If you missed the PSAT in the fall, you will want to take advantage of this opportunity. Bring your check for $10, payable to Las Lomas High School, to the Northgate College & Career Center, or pay $20 at the door.
CASH FOR COLLEGE EVENT: If you are a Senior who needs help filling out your financial aid application, take advantage of the event at DVC this Saturday, starting at 10 AM. Free tax preparation and translation services will be available. Stop by the Career Center to find out what you need to bring with you on Saturday.
SAT DEADLINE: The regular registration deadline for the March 13 SAT is Thursday, Feb. 4th. Register on-line at collegeboard.com, and pick-up a practice test in the College & Career Center.
TRACK AND FIELD: If you plan on participating in Track and Field this year then you need to have all your paperwork turned in to Mr. Ahn by Monday, Feb 8th or you will not be able to practice.
SPRING SPORT ATHLETES: Tuesday at lunch there will be table in the Forum accepting athletic clearances, transportation fees, and sports contributions for all spring sports. If you haven’t turned them in already, make sure to take them to the table at lunch.
BASEBALL TRYOUTS: All baseball players must turn in their completed physicals to participate in tryouts. Tryouts start Monday, Feb-8. See Coach Campo with questions.
BOY’S VOLLEYBALL: Boy’s Volleyball tryouts start on Monday-Feb 8 at 4pm-6pm in the main gym. Make sure you are cleared for tryouts. Any questions please email me at coachchangaris@sbcglobal.net.
LACROSSE SIGNUPS: Coach Eller will be at the High School on Friday, February 5th from 3:00pm-4:00pm taking additional Lacrosse sign ups for the 2010 Season. Signups will be near the cafeteria. All potential players should have the completed forms and checks submitted at this time. The AAC form can be found on the Northgatebroncos.org sports web page. SENIORS – CAL GRANT GPA FORMS: Submit your CAL Grant GPA Verification Forms to the Registrar by Monday, February 1st and they will be processed immediately. Submissions after Monday, February 1st will be available for pick up starting Thursday, February 11th. Go to www.csac.ca.gov for the form and instructions. Please fill in Northgate’s address at the bottom of the form. Registrar has example form on office window.
